WHY DID I GO INTO MY PROFESSION?
I had always imagined that I would be an architect as math was a subject that came easily to me. As part of the curriculum for the Civil Engineering program, I was required to take a course in Surveying. My professor, after much pleading, offered me a job in his engineering business where I was lucky enough to work for a true professional land surveyor. I found surveying to be a math based, problem solving discipline, which allowed me to work both outdoor and indoor, and within theoretical and practical application of design. Thirty-two years later and I still love what I do, working with interesting clients to support diverse and complex projects.
IF I COULD DO ANYTHING ELSE, WHAT WOULD IT BE?
I probably would have been a professional baseball, basketball and hockey player. Unfortunately a few things got in the way of that dream, which is to say my love for food, drink, my friends and my height (or lack thereof).
WHAT IS MY FAVORITE ____?
I really have no favorite anything. I love to laugh and be happy, so simply surround me with my wife Maria, my two daughters and my friends……and maybe a little wine.
